A clinical psychologist trained in Brazil and a Gestalt therapist, Helena Pinheiro Jucá Vasconcelos has more than 19 years of experience in psychological support for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Former director of the SaberPSI clinic and institute in Rio de Janeiro, she also taught clinical psychology and Gestalt therapy at the university level, where she coordinated a graduate specialization program, a clinical training course and other open courses.

Now based in Québec, she combines her clinical practice, her teaching experience and her creativity as an author of children’s books to promote a humanistic, phenomenological and existential approach to psychotherapy — a practice centred on presence, awareness and living contact.

The Gestalt Therapy Institute of Sherbrooke, founded by the psychologist (OPQ #15704-25), is a professional and educational initiative dedicated to the promotion and practice of Gestalt therapy.

The Gestalt Therapy Institute of Sherbrooke is a business registered with Québec’s enterprise registrar. All clinical and training activities are offered under the ethical and professional responsibility of the psychologist, in accordance with the standards of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.

In collaboration with Apogei Clinique, the Institute offers in-person psychotherapy services and training in Sherbrooke.

This alliance brings together a recognized professional setting and a clinical and educational approach where creativity, rigour and human contact combine to foster growth and transformation.
