Training and study groups in Gestalt therapy

(training and clinical reflection activity – not considered psychotherapy under the standards of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec)

Explore. Understand. Integrate.

The training sessions and study groups offered by the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Sherbrooke provide a living, reflective learning space for psychologists, psychotherapists, practitioners and psychology students who wish to deepen their understanding of Gestalt therapy and integrate its principles into their clinical practice.

More than theoretical teaching, these sessions invite an experience of presence, dialogue and exploration.

Each theme is approached through concrete situations, clinical sharing and experiential exercises that foster awareness, authenticity and creativity in the therapeutic relationship.

Our vision of training

We believe that training in Gestalt therapy is lived as much as it is taught.

It engages the person of the therapist in a process of reflection, sensitivity and professional growth.

The goal is to enable each participant to better understand their own way of being in contact, to support their clients’ process and to embody a more conscious and attuned therapeutic stance.

The content draws on phenomenology, existential dialogue, self theory and the dynamics of contact, while also integrating bridges with contemporary psychology, research on therapeutic presence and humanistic relational approaches.

Sessions include moments of clinical sharing, experimentation and professional reflection, allowing participants to integrate Gestalt therapy into practice with authenticity and awareness.

These activities are offered as part of continuing education and do not constitute psychotherapy services.
